Toppers! I made these out of clay instead of fondant so they could keep them.  Top tier of cupcake stand where the giant cupcake will sit! The bride put this together because we had to rig the cupcake stand so it would work.  LOVE this. And lots of flowers! The wedding is on Friday. I'll share the finished product then :)

For all threading projects I have always used tape on the end of the yarn to make it easier for little hands to sew, lace or thread beads.  It is one of those things that was an OK solution but an aggravating one at that.  A little piece of pipe cleaner changed all that and I am VERY happy with the results.  The needle stays on, the yarn does not fray, and it's much easier for the little hands

Started with a picture frame from Salvation Army, took out glass and backing, and spray painted it white. Hung funky colored ornaments (found at Michael's) with wire at different lengths. I got the idea for these from Creations by Kara where she has a tutorial on them.  I didn't have orange spray paint so I used a paint brush and acrylic paint which worked well.  Cute fall decor or hostess gift!

We had Whole Wheat Brown Sugar Banana Bread Pancakes from how Sweet it is for dinner the other day.  I  highly recommend them if you have a few past-their-prime bananas sitting around.  I didn't like the syrup so much (too sweet) but the pancakes are going in my Tried and True folder.  Hearty.  Great warmed up the next day.  Next time I'm making a double batch so I can freeze them.

Kale chips. Who knew?  Have you tried them?  I've seen several recipes for these and when I saw kale in the produce department it was time to give them a try.  They took all of a minute to prepare.  Eight minutes to cook.  Two minutes to snarf almost all of them down.  I couldn't help myself. Gotta get my green leafy veggies :) Kale Chips Wash and dry.  Cut into chip sized pieces.

Ratatouille is a French stewed vegetable dish.  I've never had it and I'm sure this dish isn't the same, but I was at a loss what to call my dish and it IS a stewed vegetable dish.......so, here is my ratatouille; a comfort food of all veggie proportion. Saute onion, carrot, celery, and broccoli in the olive oil for 10 minutes.  I like to get some of these veggies a little brown and crunchy.

The girls had Back to Football Friday at school today.  Lexi won the "Most Spirited Fan" award.  They love dressing up, no matter what the occasion.  No face paint was allowed so I used a sharpie on some Band-Aids to make the eye-black.   It worked perfectly, no mess and pretty comfortable.  They have been home from school for an hour and they don't want to take them off.

The most used game we own is Cranuim Hullabaloo.  It's one game that I don't mind playing with the girls and at every age they have enjoyed it.  If you haven't heard of it, there is a control box that shouts out commands like, "Spin to a triangle.", "Slither to a food.", "Put your hand on a circle and touch your nose to a red.".  There are several pads that you lay all over the floor.

Mimi got this little science kit for her birthday.  It's a lot of mixing colors and using the super absorbent gel for making concoctions with stuff around the house.  Fun.  I love that she asks to do it every day.  I need to find more science stuff to keep her interest sparked.  Little Bit wanted to play with the droppers and dye so badly that I made her own little kit in an egg carton.

Little Bit loves to play Connect 4.  We can play 15 to 20 games in a row.  The problem is, she doesn't get the concept of the game.  She likes to take turns (great skill) and fill the entire board up, then poke each one out the bottom.  So I am not completely bored, I try to get as many four in a rows, while not allowing her to get any.  LOL.  Sounds easy but it's not.  I try to make these game

Did you know that starting this year, FRESH vegetables will have box tops on the package??  Green Giant has box tops on some frozen veggies and have added their fresh veggies as well.  Soon they hope to get box tops on canned beans and corn.  In the Target mailer I received yesterday there was a coupon for $1 off 4 Green Giant Fresh produce items.  Very Nice!
